The BriteSmile in-office whitening system uses a hydrogen peroxide mixture and the power of “cool blue” LED light to whiten your teeth up to eight shades lighter. First, the gum line is protected with an application of vitamin E. Then, the whitening gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. The gel is then exposed to the LED light, accelerating the whitening process of the teeth. This procedure is safe and won’t cause damage to your teeth. Also, if you worry about teeth sensitivity due to the procedure, ask us about a variety of concentrations so that our dentist may customize the treatment to your needs.
The Dash whitening system uses a unique 30% hydrogen peroxide formula and does not require mixing, refrigeration or an activating light. Because an activating light can increase postoperative sensitivity, patients who experience dental sensitivity may choose this whitening method.Read more about Dash

Laser teeth whitening is administered in a dental office exclusively, and is the most expensive method for whitening. All forms of teeth whitening work by releasing oxygen ions from a tooth whitening gel, which gently lift stains from the teeth. The laser simply lifts the stains faster. Another advantage of the laser is that (depending on the type of laser used) it can more easily be used to bleach one tooth at a time. This is helpful when one tooth is more discolored than the surrounding teeth.Read more about Laser

Take Home Trays
What makes over the counter teeth whitening kits so popular is that they can be done at home. These trays are available for both sensitive and non-sensitive teeth. Each teeth whitening kit consists of impression trays and teeth whitening gels. These "take-home trays" are engineered for anyone to use, and come with instructions on how to perform the procedure yourself. Although they can be a convenient option, obtaining great results can take longer than other treatments and they don’t always work well for deep stains. These trays are custom made to go over your teeth and whiten your teeth through a special gel that is found on the inside of the trays.
These trays, once made for you, can then be taken home as a teeth whitening kit, along with the guidelines given by our dentist. The time period that they must remain on your teeth can vary according to your teeth whitening needs.
How they Work
Custom whitening trays are made of a clear plastic that comfortably adjust when inserted. A small dollop of a gel is inserted in each tray, giving them their whitening properties. The gel consists of a hydrogen peroxide solution that actively whitens the enamel of the teeth.
After they have been used and are taken off, they need to be cleaned with a Q-tip or a cloth, and rinsed. This makes them ready to be used again. It is not recommended to use them for at least another day, after each application.
These whitening trays can be used several times to achieve the desired results. Our dentist can further advice on how many times they should be used in your case.
Venus White® is a take-home whitening kit for custom trays your dentist at Dental Care at Oyster Point creates for you. The trays contain a special whitening gel, which is available in a range of concentrations so that your dentist can devise an effective, customized treatment plan that eliminates stains and brightens your smile while protecting your teeth from uncomfortable sensitivity.Read more about Venus White®
Zoom is a bleaching process widely used to lighten discoloration of enamel and dentin. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine; or from smoking. The aging process also can stain and darken your teeth. The Zoom In-Office Tooth Whitening procedure uses the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp to activate the 25 percent hydrogen peroxide whitening. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin to bleach the stained substances, leaving the structure of the tooth unchanged.Read more about Zoom!
